Xolo launches Intel-powered smartphone at Rs 19,999





Xolo today announced the launch of its new Android smartphone 'Xolo 1000' powered by Intel's atom processor at a price of Rs 19,999 apiece. "Xolo 1000 has 2 gigahertz Intel atom processor which can process at least two applications simultaneously like a phone with dual core processor.

Sorti en décembre dernier en France, le Motorola RAZR i vient de passer sous Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Nous en avons donc profité pour mettre la main sur ce deuxième smartphone équipé d'un SoC Intel Medfield Z2460, cette fois cadencé à 2 GHz sur un seul coeur.

Report: Intel in Talks With Apple to Manufacturer iPhone, iPad Processors





The Chicago Tribune reports that Intel Corp. (INTC) has been in talks with Apple, Inc. (AAPL) to establish a foundry relationship. The possible hookup could also see Intel co-design the company's next generation iPhone and iPad processors, based on a future Atom mobile processor. I.

ZTE gives Intel its smartphone breakthrough





A year ago, up-and-coming smartphone major ZTE pledged support for Intel's first credible smartphone processor. Now the Chinese vendor has put weight behind that commitment, and promises an expanded range of handsets based on the new Atom Z2580 chip, unveiled at Mobile World Congress last week.
